I love the ambiance of this funky one room lunch counter experience. I love the food especially their imperial rolls. I came here the night of my wedding 51 yrs ago (June 22, 1972)!  We currently live in Vancouver, WA, so when we are in the area we come by for a dose of these lovely rolls. We actually ordered a dozen yesterday to drop off at my cousins' and daughter's family. We kept enough to eat them twice today along with the bbq chicken dinner. Amazing place!

this spot is an amazing hole in the wall restaurant in San Francisco. It is run by two ladies who really know how to make the speciality food that is provided. I highly recommend their imperial roll. I always like their vermicelli salad here as it is so refreshing to eat and crispy with the roll.

Cordon Bleu holds a special place in my heart, and I couldn't be happier to share my experiences with this cherished gem in the heart of San Francisco.

When I was just 12 years old, my family and I would make the trip from Los Gatos to SF, and without fail, Cordon Bleu became our go-to spot every time we ventured into the city. The restaurant's owner, Maggie, has been grilling up delicious Vietnamese cuisine for over 25 years, serving the SF community with unwavering dedication. She's one of the sweetest and hardest working individuals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing - tirelessly grilling food all day to perfection.

My love affair with Cordon Bleu's cuisine began with their imperial egg rolls. Paired with a side of rice smothered in meat sauce, it was a revelation. I'd excitedly proclaim to my cousins, "Try the egg rolls! They're the best!" Little did I know, Maggie overheard my enthusiastic endorsement and graciously decided to gift my 12-year-old self with another one. That moment, looking back, always brings warmth to my heart.

Fast forward to today, I'm now 23 years old, and I recently revisited this beloved spot after a few years of absence. I was overjoyed to see that Cordon Bleu not only weathered the storm of the pandemic but thrived. And, more importantly, Maggie is still at the helm, cooking up a storm.

What's even more incredible is that she has kept her prices reasonable, with a hearty plate of meat and rice setting you back just $12. The restaurant might appear run-down from the outside, but don't let that fool you. It exudes its own unique comfort, a cozy feeling that makes every visit feel like coming home.

Cordon Bleu will forever remain one of my favorite restaurants in SF, thanks to Maggie's dedication and her unforgettable flavors. If you're ever in the area, I implore you to stop by and indulge in the magic that is Cordon Bleu. Thank you, Maggie, for the countless memories and the incredible food that has truly enriched my life.

The owner is a very nice lady and we felt very welcomed there. You get a free refillable tea with your meal too which is nice. We tried the number 1 and ma pod tofu - both were great! They cook the food right intron of you which we found it pretty cool. Do note that this is a small restaurant with limited seats.

Been going here for 5 years now, not sure what took me so long to write a review! A complete hole in the wall kind of spot. If you're looking for a divey place with amazing food, you've come to the right place!

We got the number 2 and the chicken salad. Portions are enormous and the prices are cheap. The shish kebab and the imperial rolls are my favorite, but today I felt like getting their chicken salad. It's so refreshing and it has a generous portion of meat. I usually end up eating half and saving the other half for lunch the next day!

Aunty has been killing it on this seasoned grill for years now. Don't forget to tip her, she deserves it :)

Solid food, great portions. I got entree 5 to try all the different types of meat. Not the biggest fan of the meat sauce on the rice (too salty for me), but the meats and imperial roll were not bad.
